Ashley and Bill are one of those couples that have a love that is so strong it is evident to everyone in the room. That coupled with sweet and personalities and you have a wedding that was not only unique but full of positive energy.
Ashley and Billy tied the knot at the Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church. The ceremony was elegant and intimate. A close friend of the couple played an extremely moving song that he composed just for them.
And can we talk about the dress! Ashley pulled off the famous Badgley Mischka sweater dress!!! Not many of us could pull off such a look as this, and Ashley not only pulled it off but looked flawless . . . as if the B + M made it just for her! Her dress served a great inspiration in the entire design of the wedding – and the bouquet with trailing pussy willow that she cradled complemented the look PERFECTLY!
Guests were greeted at Mercury Hall with the perfect winter mix of décor that was a little bit vintage, a little bit modern, a little bit organic, BUT all elegant! The sign in book was an antique leather-bound writer’s journal for guests to write messages of love to the couple. Centerpieces of soft and romantic floral in alternating containers of mercury glass and stone urns were surrounded with tons of candles that made the chapel glow.
An amazing coursed dinner started of with a tomato soup flavored with a hint of honey and cinnamon, then an entrée of balsamic glazed beef tenderloin with a cabernet demi glacee accompanied with creamy white cheddar polenta and baby carrot bundles and finished perfectly with a slice of New York style fresh blackberry and merlot cheesecake topped with a blackberry coulis.
And then the wedding surprise for the couple… the best man decided to serenade Ashley and Bill with “Kiss the Girl,” a first for Dysfunkshun Junkshun! Yes, “Kiss the Girl”, the notorious song sung by Sebastian, Flounder and Scuddle that encouraged Prince Eric to kiss Ariel in The Little Mermaid. Needless to say, the crowd went wild and Ashley and Bill were elated! The dance party then began and the crowd danced all night to the fabulous tunes.
The night came to an end and Ashley and Bill were sent off in a glowing exit of sparklers – it was magical and the perfect ending for the perfect couple. Thanks for letting us have so much fun in helping bring together your day!!!!
