Liz + Greg

Beaulieu Garden, Napa

When Liz met Greg, she knew he would be the man she married. We headed to Napa to celebrate their nuptials in style and the entire weekend was flawless!

First off, Beaulieu Garden is one of the most beautiful venues at which I have ever had the pleasure of working. It is a private estate in Rutherford and is reminiscent of Versailles. Gorgeous doesn’t even begin to describe it – so I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Liz was a vision. Her gown was flowing, ethereal and timeless. She wore her grandmother’s diamond pin in her hair – a beautiful and heartfelt touch. She carried a bouquet of lush ivory garden roses, which completed the classic look.

The picturesque ceremony took place in the beautiful courtyard. I had chills through the ENTIRE ceremony! Liz’s sister, Catherine, served as matron of honor and wore a fabulous navy gown, which she accented with the sash she wore at her own wedding. The Ives sisters think of every sentimental detail, it was so touching! Greg and his best man Matt looked dashing in classic tuxedos with a bow tie – a signature look for Greg!

Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and dined on delectable passed hors d’oeuvres! Peking duck mini tacos, bellweather farms ricotta with heirloom tomatoes straight from the Paula LeDuc garden, tuna and mango poke, house smoked wild salmon and prather ranch beef carpaccio on acme baguette (with truffle oil –YUM). Seriously, OUT OF THIS WORLD food. Beaulieu Vineyard wine was served the entire night, so the entire menu was kept local. A string quartet played a variety of classical pieces while guests visited and took in the scenery.

The long dinner table was set underneath the vine-covered pergola. Silk linens in a beautiful shade of ivory adorned the table and lush centerpieces of pale blush floral in silver revere bowls along with silver candlesticks made up the table setting. Liz’s mom hand calligraphied the menu, which revealed a feast! The first course was peppery greens with oven-cured tomatoes topped with Humboldt fog goat cheese and honey-lemon-lavender vinaigrette.  The second course was the main entrée: a duet of seared beef filet and halibut saltimbocca accompanied with a scallion potato puree, candied shallots and haircort verts. The final course was a chevre cheesecake with seasonal fruit compote and flower petal confetti.

After the amazing dinner, it was time for the dancing! The variety band was great at performing requests from the crowd. The group danced the entire night underneath the fullest moon I have ever seen. Greg and Liz even performed their signature dance moves for the crowd! Guests tossed fresh local lavender at the newlyweds as they exited into their classic car.

Liz and Greg, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey every step of the way. It was such a beautiful weekend that everyone thoroughly enjoyed – a celebration of love, family and friends!
