Ledlie + Will

Old Glory Ranch

Ledlie and Will are the perfect fit for each other, from their Scottish heritage to their passion for politics – they “get” each other on every level.

Ledlie and Will chose Old Glory Ranch to represent Will’s Texas roots (which Ledlie now loves also). We wanted to showcase the stunning Texas hill country in an elegant setting yet remain true to their Scottish background. The result? A Tex-Scot fusion that perfectly represented the couple! We brought out their custom fusion theme by naming the tables after different Texas flowers printed in a Celtic-inspired font, and using Will’s tartan to accent his boutonniere.

The bridesmaids all wore the same style dress in Ledlie’s favorite colors and their wildflower-esque bouquets were all different as well. Ledlie rocked the short wedding dress – LOVE this look! It fit the relaxed yet elegant vibe and she was able to dance all night!

Ledlie arrived at the ceremony via horse drawn carriage. The ceremony was held at Old Glory’s “wedding deck” overlooking the (thankfully!) flowing river. It was peaceful and serene and a perfect Texas backdrop to become husband and wife! An acoustic guitarist enhanced the ambiance and Ledlie and Will recessed to a rendition of “My Life” by The Beatles.

The Tex-Mex fare was a huge hit at cocktail hour with Mini Quesadilla Cones and Shrimp Diablo. Mariachis entertained the guests as did the local donkeys! And what Tex-Mex cocktail hour would be complete without a margarita bar? Then the guests dined on a real Texas feast – smoked brisket and turkey accompanied with corn pudding, warm potato salad and cornbread! The wedding cake was a family recipe from Ledlie’s side for a Danish Cream Cake – YUM!

Ledlie and Will’s first dance was to Bonnie Raitt’s “Feels Like Home.” It was beautiful and Ledlie’s cowboy boots added that perfect touch. Mark Winston Kirk performed the rest of the night and had everyone dancing. Guys in kilts two-steppin’ – PRICELESS!

Ledlie & Will – the love you have for each other was evident and so beautiful; we are glad we got to share this special journey with you. Will, you will forever be remembered as the groom who called us the morning of the wedding and jokingly tried to convince us that you changed your mind! We wish you both the best of luck in everything, and are sure we will bump into you at the next rally or fundraiser!

All our best,
Tanya and Gina
