Helping People Help Pets

It was a perfect fall Austin day, the kind of day that makes people want to move here! I was enjoying some coffee at Jo’s when my friend who just moved back from LA said she really wanted to get a dog. I said- DONE! We walked over to Austin Pets Alive and that is when Teresa met her Paolo. He is the sweetest pup ever and Teresa saved his life! This is just one of the many stories of love of selfless Austinites who have stepped up and made room in their families for those in need.

APA’s mission is to help make Austin a No Kill City. CLINK is a huge supporter and fan of Austin Pets Alive and all they do for our four legged friends! They were even the beneficiary for the Home Slice Pizza Annual Carnival (which CLINK has proudly planned for the last two years!). Home Slice Carnival O’ Pizza

I was in shock when I started investigating what happens to all the pets that get turned in to local shelters. Austin is such a pet loving, and compassionate town – why were more than 6,000 pets euthanized last year???!!!! That is where Austin Pets Alive swoops in with their proverbial super hero capes to save these precious fur babies! They work locally with many local organizations and businesses to make sure pets are adopted and not put down. Those who aren’t adopted immediately go to an APA foster home until the perfect home is found for them.

To be successful Austin Pets Alive needs VOLUNTEERS and MONEY! SO give local and help APA fight for those with no voice.

For more information or to donate please visit Austin Pets Alive. Everything helps!

CLINKing to Austin Pets Alive,

February 26, 2010 - 12:26 pm Daniel C. Photography - Thanks for posting this Gina. It takes so many hearts and hands help to make APA successful. If you can, please consider donating your time and/or resources to help keep APA running successfully. On a side note, every time I go out on a photo assignment for them, I want to take home every last puppy!
