Austin Fashion Week!!!!!

The second annual Austin Fashion Week is in full swing and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the events being produced, designers being seen and Austinites being celebrated! Austin Fashion Week is the brainchild of Launch787. Like most of the amazing ideas that come from Launch787 – it is a HUGE hit!

AFW started off with the Kickoff Party last Saturday at GSD&M. The turnout was phenomenal and the set up was ideal. The main area was in the courtyard of GSD&M – a great event space! An LED wall anchored the all white runway, which was surrounded by white chairs for VIP seating.  Fabulous fare and cocktails were set up off to the side in the roped of parking lot. My personal favorite were the Truffled raviolis from CRU. (I had eight!) Tito’s, Wailua Sodas and Sweet Leaf Tea kept my whistle wet with their creative libations! The silent auction was held inside and had some amazing steals! Denise even won her very first Kathy Womack!!!  After we met our shopping and food/beverage needs, we headed to our seats for Tiffany! Yes, that Tiffany! She was GREAT! She sang her classic hits as well as many of our favorites form the 80s. After her performance, the models took to the runway in the creations of their mash-up teams. The show was inventive and the music was fab thanks to DJ Manny! It was the perfect Austin night!!!

Then the fashion kicked into high gear on Sunday! Each night of the week, different events were hosted in each area of town to make sure all of the Austinites fashion needs were met. GENIUS idea!!!! Each party has been as unique as the fashion it is showcasing. A true representation of the best Austin has to offer!

Next up, the finale:  The Austin Fashion Awards! This is where fashion and music come together for one big party. Local talent is honored by its peers and biggest fans, while local fashionistas present the awards. Our own CLINK owners Denise and Tanya will be presenters so make sure you are there to cheer them on! After the awards have been handed out, the celebration will continue at the After Party!
