Image Things we CLINK to

La Condesa, Comida y Tequila

If you haven’t been to La Condesa, you are seriously missing out! The Mexico City inspired cuisine is not only inventive, it is addictive! And the cocktails have been voted the best and most creative in town.  The CLINK executive team was invited to do some taste testing for several events we have coming up and we were beyond impressed.

As soon as you walk in the doors, you are transported into a world of impeccable design and glorious details (thanks to the genius of Joel Mozersky). Every color, every piece of art, and even the font styles used on the menus are one of a kind and make this restaurant an Austin original!!! The Ann Sachs tiled wall, the polished concrete bars, the spider web of lighting all come together famously!

If décor isn’t your thing, no problem. They will have you as soon as you taste their “Street Corn” or as I call it CRACK CORN! Roasted corn on the cob covered in a to-die-for mayonnaise-based sauce and cojita cheese. Seriously, you have to try this, and forget being ladylike trying to eat it. Dive in and enjoy every kernel.

The tinga (nachos like you have never tried before), hongos y huitlacoche (mushrooms  and corn with truffle oil and cheese) and chevre cheesecake are other must have items. You really can’t go wrong with any menu selection! Also, La Condesa uses locally grown, organic and humanely-treated ingredients every chance they get. You can’t get more Austin than that!

La Condesa also has the largest tequila selection in Austin. While I am not a tequila girl, I was very impressed with the selections and the experience of the tequila tasting! I always come back to my old standby – the watermelon elderflower martini, this is my favorite drink in Austin. It is refreshing, not too sweet and is topped with elderflower foam….perfection! Other favorites are the sangria, which is authentic and delicious, and the Condesa margarita.

Every member of the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They are excited and passionate about what they do and love to share their knowledge with patrons. Alexis Lanman is the Director of Events and can work with whatever your party needs! They have the coolest private room, “The Vault,” which is underground and dates back to the beginning days of Austin! It seats up to 20 people and is an experience unrivaled.

Next up for La Condesa: off site catering Mexican street style!!! Stay tuned for an event we are working on to showcase all they have to offer. You will be wowed, GUARANTEED!
