It’s All in the Details

Hearing: a sense you shouldn’t ignore on your wedding day

You have been planning the picture perfect ceremony all year. Your flowers are gorgeous, the bridesmaids dresses coordinate with the bouquet wraps, the guys are dressed to the nines. Your string quartet is playing your song as you process down the aisle with your proud papa. Then the minister asks, “Who gives this woman to be wed?” And your father replies . . . but alas . . . no one can hear a word of it!

It is often easy to get caught up in all the details seen in photographs . . . the ones that catch your eye and are talked about endlessly in wedding publications. And it breaks our hearts when the most important part of your entire wedding day – professing your love and loyalty to one another – cannot be heard by your guests.

We recommend ceremony amplification to our clients 100% of the time – indoors or out. Your officiant has a mic, either a lapel mic or wireless mic on a stand, and this assures that everyone can hear your I do’s. There is nothing worse than guests looking around at each other or playing on their phones as they can’t hear anything the couple is saying. It creates an uncomfortable, noticeable stir,. In addition, it is just as important to hire professionals to amplify your ceremony. Don’t go rent a system and DIY this important detail. Feedback is not a cute sound.

So, please, we beg of you – make the small investment and have your ceremony amplified. A couple of hundred dollars makes the difference between a “perfect picture” and a “perfect experience.”

Here’s to the details!
